We’re still wondering why in the world they’re letting the Guilty Gang IN!?
Come out see your favorite builders, check out cool merchandise, and get your chance to win some cool prizes! The Best of Show winner at the Cycle Source Bike Show win’s a complete roller from Sucker Punch Sallys. And there are other prizes given by various sponsors! Hey, thanks for coming back! Great to see there are a few of you out there that have taste and style! Seriously, thanks for visiting. If you know of stories you think people would be interested in, shoot us a line C'ya!
Ok, we’ve seen this bike a couple of times and each time we do, we like it more and more. Fortunately, as a “good neighbor” we’re sharing it with YOU! The guys at Chopperhead Kustoms have had this bike around and now, you can own it with all the benefits that comes with it. Read below their post on MySpace.
Once in a while we turnout a bike that no one asked us to do (not a customer commissioned build). This be one of them. We get to do these for a little less cost, so in turn we can offer them at a lower cost. This bike has been completely gone through and built up at the shop. It has a ton of new shit. WHATS NEW:New top end, electronic ignition, coil, battery, voltage regulator, ignition switch, choppahead hardtail (non-spade cutout) choppahead battery box, exhaust/exhaust clamps, handlebars, levers, controls, grips, sporty tank & gas cap, NOS brit ribbed fender fork tubes and gators, carbs and velocity stack, brake rod, shift lever, horn, peg rubber, chain, headlight, taillight (el cheapo bates style side mount), tires, brakes, wiring is complete from scratch. Also comes with hand tooled leather seat from Truckalope leather (as seen on vol.2). This seat is slightly used – it was originally on the Brown Eyed Cyclops (as seen in Street Chopper) – we’re doing a new seat for that bike right now. Gas tank striped by The One-Armed Bandit. What makes this different from a complete choppahead build? Bottom end not rebuilt (but we checked it out and it is fine). Frame, trees, and lower forks are spray bombed and not powdercoated. Tank and fender are spraybombed, not powdercoated (but think of how easy it will be to touch up). We didnt completely rebuild the wheels – but they are in good shape. Plus we mig welded some shit (like the seat mounts) that we’d normally tig and make look all pretty. SO this aint really a rat, but it aint really a full tilt choppahead build. Thats why the price is significantly lower…! First $6,500.00 takes it. Non-haggle price. $200 deposit (non-refundable) will hold the bike for 10 days while you scrape the rest of the dough together. Buyer to arrange shipping, or come pick it up and the beer’s on us.
If your one of the rare folks that don’t recognize the name “ChopperHead” they are they guys that make the kick butt video (there are two now) that chronicles their exploits at various shows (last one was to Asia) as well as some awesome bikes! You can reach the guys at their website! HERE.
Granted, we’re not a “club” or “association” and don’t even have our own “patch” so when we got word that “The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame” was looking for vests with patches in order to exhibit them in their motorcycle clubs section, it struck up our interest. Christine Paige Diers, the Exec. Director of the MM&H, said “I’m looking to reach out to motorcycle clubs who might be willing to have their colors on display,†She goes on to say, “One of the exhibits we’ve had on display for the last six to eight months is an exhibit about Motorcycle Clubs,†explained Diers. “As part of the exhibit, we had a number of vests with patches representing a variety of clubs. Unfortunately, the owner of those patches has reclaimed his collection. We’re in the process of trying to rebuild the display and are looking for clubs that might be interested.â€
While this had an “odd” feel to it initially, i think her intent is pure. To educate the public about the history of motorcycling and try to present a fair-minded view of motorcycle clubs in their many forms. “I’d like to rebuild the exhibit with themed sections to display, including women’s clubs, family oriented clubs, law enforcement clubs and veterans clubs“, says Diers. So, if anyone or club is interested in loaning a jacket, vest or patch, or even a photo, to the museum for a period of one to two years, you should contact her at christine@sturgismuseum.com or phone 605-347-2001 for more details. I’m sure it will be interesting to see who and how many “clubs” participate in this adventure next year when we are at Sturgis.
Having visited the Maggie Valley, NC “Wheels through Time Museum” we can only say, this place is one every motorcyclist should see in order to grasp motorcycling history. One ongoing show that has caught our attention is the “World of Women on Motorcycles”. It’s a historical perspective through the lenses of unknown photographers who have captured memories of their loved ones who helped pave the road for todays women riders. You’ll not only find these trail blazing women remarkable, but will also be able to gawk at some of histories most notable pieces of rolling art. Check them out online at the Wheel Through Time website. And if you have photo’s you’d like to share with the world, Wheels Through Time would like to hear from you too!
Well, it had to happen eventually! People said we needed some cool shirts with ladies on our bikes cause they were soooo hot….(the bikes!) that is. So Guilty is releasing a limited edition (only printing 50) with “Errant” sporting a beautiful pin-up model on black (50/50) Shop Shirts and T-shirts. There will be a series of these shirts run with our other bikes featuring different pin-up models, so keep a look out! They won’t last long and when they’re gone, they’re gone! T-shirts will be $19.00 and Shop Shirts 27.50.
News Release
February, 2008
The sudden clamor of two inbound HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters cut short Ash Spurlin and his squad’s hushed conversations. Spurlin, a Special Ops Squad Leader with the US Army, ordered his men to start their final gear check and to form a circle of security around the landing zone. Once the area was secured, Spurlin marked their position with an infrared strobe. The Blackhawk’s landed easily. Within 60 seconds, both helicopters and men were airborne.
No lights, no talking, just his own thoughts to deal with for the next fifteen minutes of flight. With the side doors open, the cool Afghan air was a nice break from the stifling heat on the ground. Spurlin positioned himself with his legs hanging out the side door of the Blackhawk and used his night vision goggles to scan the area below for possible hostile fire. The wind pushing against his helmet and moving his pant legs only reminded him of riding his Road King back home in California. No lights, no talking, just thoughts of cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway. No sweaty body armor, or M4 rifle, just a t-shirt, boots and his favorite jeans. Instead of the heinous helicopter engine, it was a V-Twin roaring. Right then Spurlin knew that while he couldn’t control when he would return home, he could still make plans for what he would do once there. He would ride his newest custom built chopper!
As his helicopter touched down on the rooftop of a Taliban stronghold, all six men looked at one another, each knowing what the other was thinking, but no one saying a word. Within seconds the men are out, the helicopters are gone, and so are the thoughts of grabbing that V-twins throttle. Anyway, this is a different type of adrenaline rush. The mission completed, Spurlin debriefs his superiors, eats and logs onto his Yahoo account. He is intent on finding from friends in the industry who they’d recommend for his next build. That’s how he found Guilty Customs and Errant, his next and third custom motorcycle.
Errant, part of Guilty Customs “Last Chance†line, caught Spurlin’s attention with its 70’s dragster styled influences. Spurlin comments about his decision to have his next chopper built by Guilty Customs: “Since I had two bobber styled bikes that were similar in looks, I wanted something different, but dependable and affordable. One of my friends told me about Guilty Customs so I called and spoke with Cj. We talked for about an hour. I didn’t feel like it was a business call, which is when I knew 100 percent, this company was the kind of business I’d always heard my father and grandfather talk about. Not cookie cutter $65,000 choppers or assembly line bikes, but actual one-on-one discussions about my next bike.â€
“Having the opportunity to build a bike for Ash is an honor. We are extremely proud that he will be riding a Guilty chopper†says CJ Hanlon, owner of Guilty Customs. “Each time we speak with Ash, either before or after a mission, it poignantly reminds us of the sacrifices these soldiers (and their families) are making to defend our country. Even the companies that supply our parts have a unique interest in this build. Everyone wants to make this bike really special for Ash.â€
Spurlin and Hanlon have even started talks about a cross-country ride to raise monies for the widows and families of soldiers killed in battle. It gives us one more reason to want to see this soldier return safely home.
Guilty Customs, LLC (www.guiltycustoms.com) is a custom motorcycle company that is quickly establishing itself in the custom chopper industry by bringing to the public innovative, dependable and affordable custom motorcycles and parts.

Seems a UMASSAmherst student has struck upon a unique idea for motorcycle riders. A helmet that notifies medics/rescue when/if you have an accident. “The WIG will be activated when it is buckled on,†says Brycen Spencer, the inventor. “If you fall and hit your head, the helmet will detect that and beep for a minute or so. If you don’t turn it off, WIG (Wireless Impact Guardian) sends for help, either directly to 911 or to a third-party service that relays the emergency call to 911. Included with the message will be a GPS location giving your geographical coordinates so the emergency team knows precisely where you are.†Be interesting to see this thing work in the real world. Congrats Brycen…sure your parents are proud of you and to see their money doing some good creative things!
Seems that the Danish have found a unique way to get their drivers to slow down! They use the Speed Bandits“. A civic minded group of young ladies willing to show us their “assets” in order to save lives! The movie was made by the Danish Road Safety Council and aims to draw attention to speed signs and speed limits in Denmark. Despite a decrease in speed violations, 7 out of 10 Danes still exceed the speed limit on a regular basis. Respecting the speed limits is the simplest way to save lives. Or course now, the accidents aren’t caused by speeding but rather by whiplash. Here for video.
The guys at Guilty are ALL about having women riders with us. Whether they are on the back or on their own, we like em! So, women take note! If your wanting to try two-wheeling on for size you have a special place to go at the country’s biggest traveling public motorcycle exhibition. It’s women only in this curtained-off area, where female riders, one-on-one and in mini-seminars, will share their tips on getting started, what to look for in a motorcycle and more.

Custom Cycle Engineering has developed a classic way to simplify the ignition system on “generator right side with alternator left side” case H-D style motors. CCE tapped into the motorcycle-racing world and built a housing around a classic Wico magneto cover. The housing bolts up to the generator location and hides a common 12V motorcycle coil. The housing looks like you are running a Wico magneto but in fact there is a coil hidden away behind the cap! Price is $299.00

Well, we’re at the airport in Cincinnati heading back after 4 days at the V-Twin Expo and shortly will begin preparing for Bike Week 2008 in all it’s glory. Or should i say “hectic”, traffic jammed, overcharged and wild week”? Seriously, we’re definitely taking stock of whether we will either participate 100% or do some modified appearance at this years event. With builder friends willing to share some space and encouraging us to attend, along with the opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new ones, it looks like we’ll be located somewhere in the in-field of the Daytona Speedway. With 4 bike builds going on now, and hopes of having at least one finished before the end of the month, we hope to bring something besides our glowing personalities to the event. Here is the official news release for the event.
